Project goal 

Adapting product to the designated audience while

emphasizing use, and user's constraints and needs.

 

Research 

The elderly listen to the radio a lot, often to a single

preferred station, in different rooms in the house.

 

Problems 

Uniformity among radios, convenient use of buttons

and dials, changing stations on several radios simultaneously,

turning off of all radios in the house at same time.

 

Design response 

Head radio positioned as transmitting station

(Bluetooth) to small speakers around the house,

adding light indicators on the audio level.

 

Method of Construction

laminated maple wood veneer,engraved aluminum

buttons, radio housing in vacuum forming.
