Project goal 

Designing tea kettle employing a uniform formal line while emphasizing three dimensional construction and nature of 

product.

 

Problems 

While researching the “simple” carafe, I noticed that when I sliced the object, I saw that every section contained a line and a dot -

the line being the carafe lip and the dot of the carafe belly. These two elements interconnect in several ways, and led to interesting interpretations as applied to the tea kettle shown.

 

Method of Construction

Ceramic, thrown on wheel and constructed.
